What can I expect to find at your event? At our events we carry high quality, gently used children's clothing sizes Newborn to Youth Size 12 and all of the 'gear' that parents need including baby equipment (such as strollers, high chairs, portable cribs, etc.), childrens' furniture, bedding, nursing accessories. We also carry high quality toys, children's books, movies, music, video games, sports equipment, and so much more!
Who can participate in this event? Anyone who has high quality, gently used children's items that they would like to sell can participate in this event. Simply register through this website, enter your items using our system, and deliver your items to the event during the designated drop-off times. We will help you every step of the way! Please note: Only registered consignors, who enter their items through our system, will be able to participate in this event. No other items will be accepted.
How many items can I sell? We are happy to have you participate, whether you have just a few items or a whole bunch! Consignors are invited to participate with up to 150 items. Please note: a four-piece outfit counts as one item. Multiple items can be bundled and sold as a group.
Can I participate in the Presale events if I have no items to consign? Absolutely! We need lots of friendly workers to help make our sale a success. As a reward for working with us, you are invited to shop early and get the very best bargains on the things you need for your family.
Why do you give 70% or more when most consignment stores offer 50% or LESS? Our consignors make this event possible and we believe that they deserve to get a fair return for their items. The more successful our consignors are, the better the event! We think very highly of the women and men who entrust us with their items and we want each consignor to make the most money possible to benefit their family.
Why is there so much emphasis on accepting only EXCELLENT QUALITY items? Our shoppers have very high expectations, and we wouldn't have it any other way! Who wants to spend their time digging through a bunch of low quality, worn out things to get to the "good stuff"? It would be a huge waste of time for everyone to put worn, stained, out-of-date items on a rack. That's why we insist on accepting only high quality items.
Be honest...how hard is it to enter my items online through your website? Wouldn't it be easier to do it by hand? This step is easy and painless -- REALLY! Anyone who has used the Web at all will be able to handle this step with ease. Data entry is VERY simple, with quick pick lists to help you describe and price your items easily and in less time than it would take to hand write tags or 3x5 cards. We are happy to help you get started with this -- and once you get started, you'll be hooked! It's actually a lot of fun!
What makes Snuggle Bugs & Company unique in their consignment approach? Working with Snuggle Bugs & Company, consignors have more control over their items AND their success!
Is there an admission fee for shoppers? Or a fee for parking? This event is 100% FREE to attend. There is no admission charge and parking is both abundant and FREE.
Which forms of payment are accepted at the sale? We will be accepting cash, debit, Visa, and MasterCard. We want to make it as easy as possible for our shoppers to buy the great items that our consignors offer!
Where can I find the supplies I need to prepare my items for the sale? You may already have most of the items that you will need around the house. Items that you don't have on-hand are easily (and inexpensively) purchased at Wal-Mart or the Dollar store.
Price Tags -- Price tags may be purchased at Wal-Mart, Office Depot, Staples, or other office supply stores. They must measure: 1 3/32 in. x 1 3/4 in. They come in bunches of 100 or 500. Hangers -- We strongly prefer the use of plastic hangers to wire hangers and special pant hangers when possible. They work much better for children's items and will help your items sell better. If you have any trouble getting hangers, just call us and we will try to get some for you. Consignors who supply all of their own hangers for the event are welcome to take some hangers home with them at pick-up. Consignors are invited to take hangers equal to the number of items that they sold.
Safety Pins -- Please use medium-sized pins (no tiny gold pins, straight pins, or staples) to attach your tags. These can be found in boxes of 200 at Dollar Tree or in smaller quantities at Wal-Mart.
Clear Mailing Tape -- For sealing games and puzzles and to seal the top of Ziploc bags (available at Dollar stores).
Ziploc Bags -- For grouping smaller items such as toys, videos, etc. (available at Dollar stores).
Sharpie Marker -- To mark your Consignor ID and the price on Ziploc bags. These are available at the Dollar store or any office supply store.
**To save you a trip to the store, we now offer Consignor Starter Kits that contain the supplies you need to tag at least 100 items for the event. Each kit contains (100) string tags, (200) safety pins, (1) package of clear mailing tape, and (1) Sharpie marker. The kits are available for our cost of $5.00 each. Quantities are limited and available on a first come, first serve basis.
What should I write on the items tags? The ONLY information you need to write on the tags for your items is the number that is assigned to the item when you enter it online (1,2,3, etc.). The numbering is used to help you keep your items in order. We will provide labels at Drop-Off for each of your items that will have all of your consignor information, including your Consignor ID, the price, description, etc.
When will I receive my payment check? Payment checks are available on Pick-Up day!
Do I have to be there during the sale? No, you do not have to be at the sale in order to sell your items. We will provide all of the racks, tables, etc. to display your items and will handle all of the selling for you. We would, however, love for you to join us as a volunteer. This event is staffed completely by volunteers, so we need your help to make it a success! By helping us for just a few hours, you will get a higher percentage payout for your sales, priority shopping privileges, and some other unique benefits. I would love to participate, but I just won't have the time to get my items ready. If you would like to consign but won't have the time to enter your items, you may still be able to participate in our events! We now offer V.I.P. Consignment. Snuggle Bugs staff and volunteers will take care of preparing your items and completing the data entry process. With this option, the consignor will earn 50% of their sales, will receive a special Consignor Pass to the Consignor Only Presale and Consigner Half-Price Presale, and will have their payment check for their sold items available on Pick-Up day.
Availability of these services is EXTREMELY limited! Requests will be handled on a first come, first serve basis. Consignors participating in this program will be required to drop-off their items well in advance of the listed Drop-Off time to allow for preparation and data entry. If you would like to participate using this option for our Spring 2008 event, please contact us as soon as possible (NOW) via e-mail at snugglebugsconsignment@yahoo.com. An additional $5.00 preparation fee per 100 items will be deducted from your final payment check.
How do I participate? You can be as involved as much as you would like and are invited to take part in every aspect of the sale. Please also consider working with us during the event. Consignors who work for just a few hours get a higher percentage payout AND receive priority shopping privileges to reward them for their time and effort. Click here to learn more.
